Giza, Egypt.
Giza and Cairo are bordering cities - Giza to the west and Cairo to the east. On the western edge of Giza city lie the great pyramids (there are 3 large and several smaller pyramids) and the sphinx. Further west still is the original, architectural test pyramid called Saqqara. It was designed by Imhotep and is the burial site of King Djoser. It’s 4500 years old.
There are other tombs at Saqqara, including one for divine animals. Tunnels underground hold tombs of granite, some up to 80 tons each. Laying eyes on this feat of antiquity, wealth, ingenuity, and pure strength is almost inconceivable.
